Effects of Major Work/Nonwork Life Events on Boundary Management Preferences

**Short Description:** Previous research on boundary management has demonstrated that people differ in their preferred extent of segmenting work and nonwork life. Whereas these segmentation preferences have been understood as stable personality traits in previous studies, we suspect long-term changes in response to major work/nonwork life events (e.g., childbirth).

**Methodological Details:** Respondents were asked to assess a set of items regarding boundary management, such as "I do not like to think about my work life outside of my working hours." They were then asked to indicate whether a major life event such as a promotion, marriage, loss of a family member, or the like had occurred in recent months.
